Renewal Process Overview
Each year, the Connecticut Balance of State Continuum of Care (CT BOS) Steering Committee establishes criteria and performance benchmarks used to evaluate projects receiving Continuum of Care funds. This process serves several purposes:
- It provides feedback to agencies on the extent to which your projects are meeting established performance standards.
- It enables CT BOS to rank projects as required by HUD for the annual CoC competition – projects that score better are ranked higher and are more likely to continue receiving funding.
- It helps to ensure that data used by HUD to evaluate our CoC’s system performance are accurate.
- It helps to ensure that our CoC does well in the annual CoC competition, continues to get all of our renewal projects funded, and gets funding to develop new programs to end homelessness.
